Over the past two years, a working group of the University of California Instructional Design and Faculty Support (IDFS) community of practice has developed a DEI Course Redesign Rubric. The presentation will focus on ways instructors can provide a more comprehensive understanding of their subject matter, increase empathy, improve communication and teamwork skills, and validate their students’ experiences.
Join colleagues from across central Illinois for this session during which we will hear about the Google Earth platform. The Google Earth platform is a giant 3D rendering of planet Earth. It combines satellite imagery with photos taken on the ground, allowing for both aerial and ground-level views from all over the world. In this session, we will learn how Google Earth can be used in both face-to-face and online classes.
