As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring our website remains fully compliant with accessibility standards, we are implementing a critical change in the role permissions for our site publishers. Effective August 1st, all current site publishers will have their permissions changed to that of an editor. This decision follows recent digital accessibility requirements set by the Department of Justice (DOJ) concerning digital accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The Office of Web and Digital Strategy (previously known as the Office of Web Services) is committed to ensuring that our digital resources continue to serve our community effectively and securely. To further this commitment, we have scheduled a maintenance window for the UIS.edu website. This maintenance is an essential step in keeping our digital infrastructure up to date and secure.

Scheduled Maintenance Details:

myUIS, accessible at my.uis.edu, recently received a refreshed look and functionality, in conjunction with AITS' updates to myUIconnect (or Banner). myUIS is now the go-to desktop resource for all student and faculty information technology resources, including myUIconnect. Experience the refreshed interface with seamless user experience when navigating to and from myUIconnect.

The Office of Web and Digital Strategy has added the capability for editors to now submit articles to be published to the Orbit website. The Orbit website is our Internal Communication Hub, meant to improve internal communications and streamline access to resources for employees.
